Meto Pema means “Lotus flower” in Bhutan. This design is based on the Bhutanese tego (the upper part of the traditional women’s attire) with a subtle floral pattern. A true fairytale dress. It emphasizes natural femininity and helps its wearer’s beauty to blossom fully. The upper part ties around the body with a satin belt. You can tie it around in a “Japanese way” or tie it at the back with a large bow.
The long skirt is made of satin and its colour matches the tego. The high slit allows you to show off the contours your leg. Or you can pin it together and so have a more modest variant of the same dress.
This dress is for truly festive occasions. It will make you feel like an exotic princess or a lotus nymph.
Material: skirt - satin, tego - mix.
If you choose to have a dress of this design Tailor-made:
1. You must buy a Bhutanese tego from our selection or, if it is unavailable at the moment, have us bring you one from Bhutan - which of course depends on when our next journey to Bhutan will be.
2. Take your measurements and send them to us by email so that our seamstress can prepare the dress (we will email you the instructions of what measurements to take).
3. Come at least once to the center of Prague to try the dress on.
4. The dress will in any case not be ready in a week. The time it takes to make it depends on the availability of the material and how difficult it is to agree on a date to come and try the dress on.
