Description
Traditionally the belt is worn firmly strapped over a woman’s kira (a skirt made of several metres of fabric) which it holds in place. These belts are woven with different patterns and we offer both simple and sophisticated variants. They are extraordinarily firm and last for many years. Instead of having to learn the traditional Bhutanese way of tying the belt you can use the two beautifully coloured ribbons we added to make a version that is much more practical for a modern European woman - with them you can not only adjust the belt perfectly to the size of your waist but also tie a lovely bow at the back. Alternatively, you can tie the belt at the front, which creates a look resembling a kimono.
In the photograph you can see it combined with a dress from our Urban Witches collection.
